Question for women who have had breast augmentation?

I enjoy running long distances and I am also considering breast augmentation….however I am going to a very conservative size, large B to small C…..After the appropriate time to heal, and with the right sports bra, does it hurt or cause any discomfort to run? Does it cause back pain?

My wife just had some installed and they are fantastic. I could never tell they where fake and she went from an A to DD. They where placed behind the muscle and with the new silicone implants you cant tell. The less expensive implants (saleen) are more noticeable and don’t feel real. I would spend the extra for the better implants IMO.

As for running there will be an effect because you are adding weight to your chest but I think once healed and wearing the right sports braw you should be ok.

I wopuld also recomend going bigger than a B or C. I say this because we where thinking the same as you and going more conservitive. But when it was all done the DD look great and are not all that bit. They are not so big they stand out but I would say big enough to where nice clothes.

Your doctor should really help you. The dortor we used was recommended and he really new his stuff and guided use through alot of it.

Breast augmentation.

I’m a female 24 yrs old with one child my size is 34A my height is 5,1 and 120 pounds. I’m thinking of having a breast augmentation to a 34C. I live in Mayfield Kentucky do you know of anyone close to me. How much is it? How long do I have to rest? Does it hurt after its done for a long time. Things you think I should know and ask before I do it.
Do you know of any pills or cream that could work.

Some links and info to answer some of your questions:

Recovery: Pain thresholds vary. No two people report the same amount of pain from the same procedure, but usually pain is dependent upon the implant placement and incision placement. You can also cause yourself more pain by not abiding by your surgeon’s instructions and over-exerting yourself.

Resting/going back to work: If you have a sedentary job, you can generally go back sooner than if you have a job that involves physical activity. If you have a job requiring lifting (including kids!), long walking or other activity, you must wait 3 weeks at least. As a rule of thumb, 5 days is a good amount to take off work but 2 to 4 days is possible. A full week off from work plus the weekends should give you enough time to heal enough to go back to work. But don’t overdo it. Even jobs that are sedentary can injure you. Ask your surgeon, as he or she is the one who will release you for activity.

Also, keep in mind that breast implants don’t last forever. The FDA and implant makers recommend that implants be removed and replaced after a certain time. The average life expectancy for a breast implant is about 16 years, according to the Institute of Medicine. Still, you should expect to replace your implants at least once in your life.

Which would be best for my breast augmentation?

I’m getting a breast augmentation close to the end of the year and I was wondering if I should get silicone or saline. I’ve heard there are pros and cons about both, so I’m curious. Also, should I put them on top or under the muscle? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I had breast augmentation done January this year. I had silicone implants that were placed on top of the muscle. It’s up to the surgeon whether they are placed on top or underneath the muscle. If there is enough breast tissue, then they place them on top. The tissue then disguises the implants outline. They are placed underneath when there isn’t enough breast tissue to disguise it, otherwise they would like two grapefruits plonked on your chest. The silicone they use now has changed an awful lot over the years. I heard years ago that silicone was bad and could leak into your blood but was shocked when my surgeon said that he mostly used silicone implants. The silicone they use now is so dense that it’s like a really tough gel, so cannot leak out like previously had done. I don’t know about saline but I am really happy with my silicones! I was really surprised at how natural they feel now. When they were first done they were quite hard but that seems to go away as time goes on. Make sure that you are being seen by and operated on by a reputable surgeon. A friend of mine had hers done with "The Hospital Group" but she felt like they were waking her from the anasthetic and pushing her out of the door already! I went with "Spire Healthcare" and spent two nights in hospital after the operation. The aftercare was amazing as well. Don’t underestimate your recovery time either. I booked 10 days off work but had to take another week after that. It’s a big operation at the end of the day and your recovery is so important. Last of all enjoy your new boobies because the feeling afterwards is soooo amazing!!!

So I have finally decided on getting a tattoo on my upper rib cage, a few inches below my armpit, however I am thinking about getting a breast augmentation next year and was wondering if it would cause the tattoo to stretch at all? I feel that there normally during breast augmentations the skin usually stretchs from other areas but I was just curious if there was any pulling from the side. Another concern is when a woman gets pregnant if it would cause the tattoo to stretch at all?

yes, my friend who got her breasts augmented had alot of stretch marks, meaning obviously they’ve stretched alot.. but it depends on how much cup sizes you’ll be going up. And yes it will get very much stretched during pregnancy

Both augmention and pregnancy will make them stretch

Around how much would a standard breast augmentation cost in Washinton state?

$3500-$5000. Anything less your going to have some messed up un-natural boobs. Get this done in a large city too and make sure you know your doctor and the work he has done.

I had breast augmentation yesterday. I was just resting and felt crepitus underneath my breasts right along my ribs! Is this normal? I am worried. I am a nurse but I don’t even know if this is okay. Any doctors or medical people out there, please answer.

That’s a first. I’ve never heard of a breast implant producing crepitus. I’d contact the doctor who did the surgery and ask them. This isn’t normal. If your doctor suggest therapy, you can contact me. I’m a professional massage therapist, and have worked on women’s breast for 25 yrs. Esp. those who have had breast augmentation.

Good luck.

Breast Augmentation is a thriving industry in the U.S. What is your opinion of the procedure and how do you feel about women who choose to undergo breast enlargement for cosmetic reasons.

I have a couple of friends who have done this recently. While I wouldn’t mind surgically enhancing my mams, I don’t want to pay the money and have the pain that goes with the procedure. I am relatively comfortable in my own skin, and as much as I’ve thought about doing it over the years, I’ve decided that it’s not worth the money to get something that would cause me to get unwanted attention.
I think if it makes a gal feel better, then do it.
